C-Bus Repair
North Shore
Fast Response.
Emergency C-Bus fault diagnosis and repair across Mosman, Neutral Bay, Cremorne, Chatswood, Lane Cove, St Leonards, Kirribilli and all North Shore suburbs. We fix dead switches, lights stuck on, system offline, and ghost switching — in a single visit where possible.
C-Bus Systems in
North Shore
North Shore C-Bus installations skew towards prestige residential — large homes in Mosman, Cremorne, Neutral Bay and Kirribilli, plus apartment and strata blocks across Chatswood, St Leonards and Lane Cove. Many of these were installed during the C-Bus residential boom of 2005–2012. Systems from this era are now past the rated lifespan of key components.
- Prestige Mosman and Neutral Bay homes with original PSUs still running at 15+ years
- High-rise strata systems in Chatswood and St Leonards with stuck relay channels
- Systems previously managed by integrators now unavailable or unresponsive
- C-Bus touchscreens on EOL hardware (5080CTC) producing no output despite normal display
What We Fix in
North Shore
The same faults appear again and again across North Shore — residential installs, strata blocks, and commercial fitouts alike.
Failed C-Bus Power Supply
The most common cause of whole-system failure across North Shore prestige homes. A failing PSU produces intermittent faults for weeks before complete collapse — random switching, flashing LEDs, then total silence.
Relay Contacts Welded Shut
Lights or circuits permanently energised regardless of commands. Common in older strata blocks across Chatswood and St Leonards where relay units have been in service for 15+ years.
C-Bus Touchscreen Dead or Frozen
5080CTC touchscreens went EOL. The screen may look normal but the C-Bus transmit circuit has failed — commands don't execute. Common in Mosman and Cremorne prestige installs.
Ghost Messages / Random Switching
Lights activating randomly, especially at night. The classic symptom of a failing PSU introducing noise onto the network bus. Diagnosable and resolvable in one visit.
Network Controller Offline
Loss of CNI or SHAC controller connectivity brings down all app and touchscreen control. Network units may still respond locally but remote management fails entirely.
Schedule and Scene Errors
Scenes loading wrong levels or schedules firing at incorrect times. Common after power events or where systems have had partial reprogramming by multiple parties over the years.

Answers
Can you repair a C-Bus system in a high-rise North Shore apartment?
Yes. We service high-rise apartments and strata buildings across Chatswood, St Leonards and North Sydney regularly. We carry appropriate access tools and are familiar with building management and OHS requirements.
My prestige Mosman home has had no C-Bus since a PSU failed — how urgent is this?
Very urgent. A failed PSU can send residual voltage fluctuations through the network even after failure, which can corrupt unit addresses and damage relay outputs over time. The longer it runs unfixed, the higher the risk of cascading failure. Call 0422 469 739 for same-day attendance.
How quickly can you get to Mosman or Chatswood?
From Menai, North Shore typically takes 40–60 minutes depending on traffic. Same-day attendance is available subject to scheduling. Call 0422 469 739 to confirm.
My C-Bus touchscreen looks normal but nothing works from it — what's the issue?
This is the classic 5080CTC transmit circuit failure. The screen displays correctly because the display circuit still functions, but the C-Bus communication hardware has failed. The system is still controllable via switches — the touchscreen needs replacement or the system can be upgraded to a modern interface.
Do you service strata blocks as well as houses?
Yes. North Shore strata is a significant part of our work — Chatswood, St Leonards, Crows Nest and Artarmon in particular. We handle common-area lighting faults, relay stuck-on issues, and emergency restoration for buildings where the previous integrator is no longer available.
